Founded in 2016, the Edinburgh Horror Festival is a not-for-profit unincorporated association. It will present a platform for artists with a paranormal, supernatural, gothic and horror themed act and all applications will be considered.
The Festival was created by four Edinburgh based performers – Ash Pryce, Alexander Staniforth, Oliver Giggins and Michael Daviot - with backgrounds in theatre, magic, cabaret and comedy, the festival will feature a wide range of material and styles. Mike Daviot's NOSFERATU’S SHADOW, about the life of Max Schreck.
ASH PRYCE, something of a star of the pub and club circuit, will be demonstrating his awe-inspiring magical and psychical prowess; Ross Hepburn will perform his hugely popular stand-up/autobiographical piece, BEETLEJUICED!; and Poe’s curious tale, THE DEVIL IN THE BELFRY, will be brought to life by writer David Robb and director Flavia D’Avila. The rest of the programme is extremely rich and varied, read the full programme here
The festival will run from the 28th to the 31st at The Banshee Labyrinth, The Tron Pub, The White Horse and Otherworld Books. We intend to make the Horror Festival a fixture in the Edinburgh cultural calendar and expand and improve it year on year, providing an annual showcase for an underrepresented area of live performance.
