Ginger Nuts of Horror
Ginger Nuts of Horror is about to enter its tenth year of existence, and over the years many greta friendships and relations have been formed, some have fallen by the wayside, and some like the friendship with horror legend Stephen Volk have stood the test time. I can still remember the day Stephen agreed to be interviewed on the site in its first year of existence, and I can still feel the the buzz of excitement that I felt at the thought of interviewing someone, who for me, was an almost mythical force on my formative years in the world of horror and the supernatural.
So now nearly ten years later I am proud to class Stephen as a friend, and friends look out for each other, and help them when we can. Which brings us to the point of this news item. Stephen has teamed up once more with the director of Ghostwatch, Lesley Manning for a brand new project Extrasensory, and Stephen and Lesley need your help seeing this project through to fruition.
Set in Russia during the final years of the Soviet period it sees twin brothers, separated by years of animosity, brought together because of a secret scientific experiment to test ESP across the reaches of space. A unique and gripping high concept movie, Extrasensory, is an emotionally powerful and heart-rending story of betrayal, love and ultimately forgiveness, in which the mysteries of the vastness of outer space conjoin with those of the inner space of the human mind.

Stephen and Lesley had this to say about the project
“Extrasensory had a long gestation period, some of which was a lonely obsession, but once I showed the script to Lesley and she was as enthused by its possibilities as I was, it suddenly became alive and real” - Stephen Volk, screenwriter.
“Extrasensory is an extraordinary story. It’s universal and really touches your heart and it has this fantastic visual, epic backdrop, something I think Stephen is very good at, which is true, pure, gold-seamed drama” - Lesley Manning, director.
