Ginger Nuts of Horror
Following on from the fantastically successful Joe Hill Event, Ginger Nuts of Horror and Blackwells Edinburgh are proud to announce another fantastic book signing / meet the author.
Keep your diary free for Friday 4th Oct, and prepare yourself to meet one of the finest horror authors of our time Adam Nevill.
This is a particularly special event for me as Adam is not only one of my all time favourite authors, it will finally give us the chance to figure out if he did throw me out of St University's Student Union.
The event will take place in one of Edinburgh's most haunted pubs, The Banshees Labyrinth, Niddry Street on Friday 4th October at 6.20pm. Adam will be reading an extract from his new book and will be interviewed by me The Ginger Nuts of Horror, Jim Mcleod. For those brave enough to stay after the event Adam has selected two horror films for your enjoyment - these will be shown in Banshees cinema room.
Tickets are only £3 and can be bought from Blackwell's Bookshop,
52-63, South Bridge, Edinburgh.

HOUSE OF SMALL SHADOWS
They watch you while you sleep...
Catherine’s last job ended badly. Corporate bullying at a top antiques publication saw her fired and forced to leave London, but she was determined to get her life back. A new job and now things look much brighter. Especially when a challenging new project presents itself – to catalogue the late M H Mason’s wildly eccentric cache of antique dolls and puppets.
Rarest of all, she’ll get to examine his elaborate displays of posed, costumed and preserved animals, depicting bloody scenes from World War II.
When Mason’s elderly niece invites her to stay at Red House itself, where she maintains the collection, Catherine can’t believe her luck. Until his niece exposes her to the dark message behind her uncle’s ‘Art’. Catherine tries to concentrate on the job, but M H Mason’s damaged visions raise dark shadows from her own past. Shadows she’d hoped therapy had finally erased. Soon the barriers between reality, sanity and memory start to merge. And some truths seem too terrible to be real . . .
The Banshee Labyrinth, the most haunted pub in Scotland, serves as the atmospheric backdrop to showcase Adam Nevill's chilling novel.
